Marina
Access to the lake is from Ill. Rt. 40 and then to either Red Ball Trail or Woburn Road. Red Ball Trail runs north-eastward on the west side of the lake and Woburn Road runs north-eastward on the east side of the lake. The marina is located by the city's west boat ramp, on Red Ball Trail. It is leased by the city to Dave Willey. There is only one other public boat ramp on the lake and it is on the east side of the lake on Idler Lane by the water plant. Governor Bond Lake is a great fishing and recreational lake in central Illinois! The marina's hours of operation are from 5 to 7 in the evening through the week, and 12 to 7 on Saturday and Sunday. They offer gas, oil, snacks, drinks, different kinds of bait, restrooms and telephone. They also have a lot of miscellaneous boating supplies. The marina also offers for rent, campsites for RVs and campers, boat slips, pontoon boat, jon boat, and ski boat. The campsites are presently all rented and the boat slips fill up fast. Dave also has a lakefront house available for rent by the week and comes with a boat for use that week. I will get pictures of it and more information in the near future. Call the marina for rates on all the above, their number is 618-664-0533. Information on this page deemed to be reliable but not guaranteed and should not be taken as legally binding. |
